My Father, My Hero

Yes this is not something new, every daughter or at least most daughter look upon their father has her hero. I am not an exception. Dad has always been the person I look up to.

Dad has given my all the freedom to decide my life on my own. He has never told me what to do; he always has been a guide instead. I can proudly say that I make my own decision in my life, that is solely because how my dad had brought me up. Dad has never taught me how to live life, he has set an example. I salute his challenging nature and competence in life.

I have always wanted to Thank God for giving me such a great dad and this post has given me a opportunity to do so.

Blogging!!!

Blogging was once, one of the many past times I had. Well, a favourite past time too.
Reading the blog stories by some people here had also given a inspiration to write more.
However, slowly I had drifted away from writing even reading. Not trying to give an excuse here, but life and things around it has changed so much from the last post. Final Year Specialization was the concern. Now I am an adult. Adult, who just entered the working world!! It has been a awesome ride down the polytechnic days i should say. Things, thoughts, people and environment has gone through big shuffle. People I used to talk to, have gone far far away. People I thought i would never talk to, have become great buddies. Whatever changes that had happened, I have learned to take it on the positive side.

Polytechnic days have ended. It was a struggle to complete my diploma in IT(bio informatics) but a sweet struggle. Memories of project get-togethers, studying sessions in the library and the project rooms brings back such great feeling. Three years have passed by so quickly. Final year poly days has given me great friends. Yes, I met the girl gang of my life. Girls I never thought would be such support in life. Lisha, Vino, Rekha, Vaani, Vanitha, Aminah. These names have carved a great friendship in my poly life. Special mention to Lisha, Vino, Rekha. Now that all of us have got a path of our own, we do not have so much of time for each other - comparatively to out poly days. But I am glad that everyone is making an effort to meetup on weekend.

Now about work life. Whew!! So different from the school days. A sudden change in daily schedules. Well i think it will take more time to adapt to all this. Will post more about the job and its environment is some other post :)

Hi to all... :)

Time really flies... Its soon so long since i blogged.. without myself realising it :(

Right now its crucial time of my polytechnic life.... Yr 2 Sem 2... kinda stressed up with things this semester...

and to add on to it... came the selection of specialisation for Yr3...

We are practically given 5 different specialisation to choose from...

1. Digital Informatics

2. Financial Informatics

3. Internet & Mobile Computing

4. Bio Informatics

5. InfoSecurity

And we are allowed to make 3 choices out of this...

I am like super duper confused....

Would like you'll to comment on these choices if you have any idea about them ... :)

Its been really really long since i blogged. Not that I do not want to blog or something. I was just busy with school and all. College as started. In week2 right now!!
Time really flys. Project work as already started. Its a interesting topic. Creating a web portal for a healthcare company. :)
However, we are to use JEE to develop our project. Working with IBM rational software. Its kind of difficfult to get used to this software.
And this software is like a darn huge 12GB. Can you believe it!!!!
My lappy is gonna super lag :(

I'm right now in school :)

and i'm blogging... howzzat!!! haha
Its friday and i'm so like in weekend mood :D

Had gone for a 2 day course in school... Nokia symbian OS course... it was kinda boring... the instructor was reading the presentation slides like we dunno how to read... duh.. at the end of the 2nd day i got my certificate.... looks cool.. :D

Exams are finally over... 4 papers.. whew.. and finally they are over... did it fairly well... expect good results.. :)
and why am i sad????
Let me explain.. my lappy(lap to) spolied... :'(
yaa... and damn it holidays.. why is this happening to me... i managed to call in the acer technician.. and he says there is a problem in the mother board :(
He couldnt get a replacement for it.. since there isnt stock right now(thats the reason he gave) :( he promised to get a replacement in 3 working days.. or else.. he told me that they would make a one to one replacement of a new lappy in another 2days... :(
it might sound cool for having a brand lappy... but i don want a new one.. i want my lappy...
arhhgg.... stress...
i'm so lost without my lappy... :(
i hope i'll get a my mother boared exchanged... will be back to blogging as soon as my lappy is back to me.... :(

Its been some times since i blogged...Was just busy with school work...
Its almost the end of semester... wrapping up of projects.. finishing practicals... revision lectures.. oh damn stress it it.. Blogging is a stress reliever now... :D
Another month and exams will be over.. Then I'll be FREE!!! yeah...

Coming to the point about this post... 25 july was my friend's birthday... His Name is Jerome James Victore... Actually.. i just realised that i know this guy for 7 solid years.. i'm glad... :)

Exam time-table is out!!!!
Believe it or not.. I have just about 1month for my exams to come... sighz
I have papers on Aug 18,20,22,25.... and the last 2 papers are like in the evening... 4 to 6pm.. grr..
Whatever... evening papers make me sleepy :'(

Project is due in abt 3 weeks time... rushing through it... Managed to do CreateController.. on my own.. without any help.. wow i'm proud of myself... :D

and.. i have been reading this blog of this writer named Arti.. really wonderful story line she writes... do take a look... the link is in the right side of my blog.. :)
just finished reading her new story name "Anonymous Nicknames"... loved it.. totally... though it was a sad ending....

Thats it for now... gotta continue with project... :)

I kinda lost in touch with the this blogging thingy... Was busy with school stuff.. the usual project, practical test bla bla bla... And at last.. term break is here... Weeeee....
Yeah... its 2 solid weeks of break from school... but ofcoz the project thing still goes on as usual.... but i'm kinda ok with that...

Last day of the term, which was yesterday (6/6/08), was really hectic... 3 assignments was to handed in... Database management's case Study... Data Structures practical and IP Networking's cisco thingy... was kinda busy... but managed to hand in all at the right time!!!! Super glad about it...

And from now on.... is blogging time!!! will visit my usual bloggers and comment on their posts soon.. Catcha there people....

yeah... its been a while since the last time i blogged... many reasons to that actually... basically busy with things around me and ofcos school.... its kind of stressful these days... project, project discussion... assignment submission.. this are the things which take up most of my time... but ofcos... i enjoy it thou...

right now.. i'm having my break.... erm... today sch will oni end at 8.30pm... grr.... monday blues man!!!!... today's modules are kinda boring tooo... got to bare with... for the this semester... :(

School re-opening on Monday... Smart alexs(Amina and Vino) called me along for buying lecture notes in school today...so that we don have to be queuing up for our stuff on monday itself... Firstly, i thougth it was too early for the notes to be have on sale.. Amina told me, "Last semester i and vino bought earlier la...sure have"... sarinu nambi kooda ponae...

Firstly, Amina forgot the way to the book shop in school... haha.. only 8 weeks of holidays and see what she is doing...

Then, we jolly well went to the bookshop and handed out the booklist... and there goes the aunty at the bookshop "Girls, only 1 of the books are ready... Your lecturers delayed on giving us the printing material"...and we were like.... erm.. "ok aunty just give us whatever u have..."

So Vino was like "so how much does it cost aunty".... "SIXTY-FIVE CENTS" came the voice.. and i burst out in laughter.... just imagine.. we spent abt $3 each for the trip back and forth... for a damn 65cent notes... haha...

The best part of all.. i was suppose to meet my friend(jasi) today.. since i was going the buy this "so called" lecture notes... so i told her "dear, i don think i can meet you after buying those notes la... 6 set of notes is very heavy to be carried around".... ending up buying a set of notes(about 30 pages) worth 65cents...

My time is out at last.. but.. I'm so stressed..
Everyone knows, Monday blues, but just imagine... my class starts at 11 am and stretches all the way till 8.30pm on Monday... It's going to be such a blueish day after all...I'm going to be sleeping through the entire day.. haha...

The next terrible day is, Wednesday..... my lessons is from 12 to 2pm... i must be happy right??... no.. BIG N..BIG O... NO... the 2hrs are lectures... 1hr of data-base management and structures... and 1hr of C++... grr... all i hope for is, for fun lecturers and not those sleepy heads... haha

The rest of the days are still quite ok.. i hope...

what made me feel better about my time-table: Jerome's(my friend) time table... haha.. he's lessons are from 8am to 5pm everyday... haha... good luck buddy....

Holidays coming to an end!!!

Its been about 6 weeks of doing simply nothing except gaming and watching tv programmes.... was waiting for holidays to end... but now.. i feel the opposite... i don't want sch to start... grr.. and to add to this.. my time-table is not out yet... i hate this feel or should say rush that will persist till school starts... going to be missing all the great sleeps, late nights, movies and outings... hmmm...

Speaking of outing.. i and my secondary school friends had a small meet up in Noorul's(my friend) house today.. was a great day.. had great fun chatting...how i wish holidays were forever..haha.. and realised my friend has a great view from her room window... took a few snaps...

i have a HI-5 account.. but it was neglected for some time... was just too bored... so when to check it out... was in my friends page and saw this journal she posted....found it interesting... wanted to share it with my readers... here is goes...

Girls are like apples on the trees.. The best ones are at the top of the tree.. The boys dont want to reach for the good ones becoz they afriad of falling and getting hurt.. Instead, they jus get the rotten apples from the ground tad aren't as gud but EASY.. So the apples at the top think something is WRONG with them.. When the REALITY they r AMAZING..They jus have to wait for the RIGHT boy to come along the one who's BRAVE enough to CLIMB all the way to the top of the tree !!

my results are out and yeah...i've done fairly well... i actually managed to pass my maths with a C+.. yahoo... i'm on cloud nine... and ofcourse java... OOPJ.. got a BIG A for it... i'm super happy... thx to all who helped me out during my exams... and thx to all the good hearted people out there who wished me luck... see you'll soon...

My cuzzy amutha was in my house last weekend... we had a splendid time together.. she stayed over in my place on sunday... we rented the movie Om Shanti Om to keep us occupied.. hmm.. not a bad movie... but would'nt have sustained through out the movie if suppose i watched it alone... we were talking all the way till around 3.30am.. was so fun.. we were like talking so much... hmm.. i hope we could stay over everyday...

Its 1st March 12.50am... and i'm bored... hmm... trying to kill time... just thinking about how the month of Feb as come along... kind of packed actually... spend my time celebrating 3 birthdays.. my mom's on 9 feb, my dad's on 13 feb and amutha's(my cuzzy) birthday party on 9feb... exams preparation took the rest of my time... then came the new arrival, kutty kumar, my aunt's son... she gave birth to a beautiful boy on 25 feb...hmm...great month actually...

Today sch was very hectic.. lessons frm 12.30 to 4.30pm... tiring...hmm.. so i decided to meet my friend jasi at douby ghaut mrt(mass rapid transit)...then we decided to go for dinner at vivo(new shopping mall near sea view)... after the dinner... we sat near the sea and had such great view of sea side and the sentosa entrance... took some snaps frm my hp and it turned out so well... we were sitting near the habour and managed to see the star cruise set out for the weekend...and added to the fantastic view was the dark clouds and lightning... Unfortunately couldnt capture it on my phone...Had a great relaxing evening....below are snaps i took at vivo...

Yeah.. clean water is back..i'm glad.... and valentines day is coming to an end... and i've been dating my books eversince yesterday.. haha.. yeah.. my lecture notes.. exams are around the corner...kinda freaks me out...but wat has got to come...has got to come...i was reading thru some blog and saw this..."I sometimes think Valentines Day came into existence because of Hallmark"...haha... for a moment.. i was like "tts kinda true"...nevertheless, lets all take this oppotunity to embrace our loved ones and keep them close to our heart...

1st time blogging

This is my 1st ever blog... and i have a interesting issue to share...water pipes in telok blangah had no water.... haha.. level 1 to level 5 houses had no water services from 7pm to 9pm.. It seems that, the water tanks somewhere burst or some say punctured.... so water distributions were affected in all the blocks in telok blangah.. i've never experienced such things before... god it was not easy... my dad and mom when to my cuz sis house to get 2 huge pails of water... after 9 the water distribution was back but the water was contaminated... i was kinda irritated with this issue until i thot of poeple frm the not so fortunate countries...ppl frm the 3rd world countries... ppl who have been living with such unhygienic conditions... scary... we all are fortunate.. real fortunate...
